The project took the form of setting up two accommodation facilities in the historic center of Trento, chosen on the basis of their location within the city and their accessibility.
In this specific case, an attempt was made to respond to "transversal" problems, therefore involving various disabilities, mainly physical-motor ones, by using home automation technologies. Particular attention was paid to the bathroom and the kitchen, equipped with automated blocks that allow the movement of individual components (toilet block, washbasin block, kitchen top, wall units) in order to ensure that they can be used by a greater number of users.
The therapy system, represented by the bed and wardrobes, was also equipped with lifting units and lifters.
The internal and external doors and windows have been equipped with automatic mechanisms, making them easier to use. The experiment includes the possibility of supplementing the furnishings with targeted elements indicated by the users of the accommodation.
